Last night I went to an advance screening of The Muppets at the Moonlight Cinema. Although I don’t really feel like I have many of my own nostalgic memories of watching the Muppets when I was a child, I still found it to be highly entertaining & hilarious.  My favourite thing about this movie was all of the ‘tongue-in-cheek’ references to the storyline… I mean, it’s a movie about someone who wants the Muppets to make it back into the spotlight - which is the exact effect this movie will have on todays audience, haha. Genius, really. It’s also full of fantastic celebrity cameos which I believe will entice the younger ‘Muppet-less’ generation to give it a chance.

On another note, watching a movie under the stars on a warm summer night, surrounded by good friends, blankets & pillows is a pretty amazing experience in itself.  I’m not sure why I don’t attend the Moonlight Cinema more often, but I’m definitely going to make an effort to. Atlhough, next time I’ll bring my own food & drink… $15 for 2 bottles of soft drink & a packet of lollies - that’s basically Moonlight robbery.
